A turn to the West is expected later tonight. A turn toward WSW is expected Saturday (9/2). May have a fluctuation in strengrh up or down over the next few days.
Irma is expected to remain a powerful hurricane thru the weekend.

I have completed 2 of Pat Sloan's Grandma's Kitchen Challenge and I have 2 more to go to get caught up!

The last few days have been extremely busy. My Church held VBS and boy was it fun!!! Seeing all the kids and how much they had learned, it was awesome!! I can't wait for next years VBS!!
I did manage to finish a wall quilt. It is a gift to a lady that works with my husband.
Everything was hand sewn except for the "in His service" center patch and I embroidered it on my little Brother SE425!
I'm actually proud of this one!

Hey!
I rested most of the day yesterday as I was extremely tired from our trip back from Mom &Dads! I had a great time and look forward to going back soon.
Both of my brothers are doing great from their heart Cathy. Both within a month and one day of each other....
Day I have been busy cleaning and of course my carpet cleaner decided it was done so it went toast on me. I dug II the old one and got the hallway. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't suck up the water. I have to wait until the carpet drys now in order to get the dirt and stuff up. Maybe one day I can get another shampoo/vacuum.

Busy weekend with family. Did manage to work on a heart appliqué block which I will post a picture of later today or tomorrow.

I haven't done much today since I didn't rest well at all last night. I just can't seem to get motivated.
My husband and I went to look at a treadle machine in hopes of buying it but it was junk. Parts missing, rusty and gears stripped. Not worth it but we will keep looking.
I did clean and oil my featherweight. She is ready to go for a while again. I'm thinking I need to order a belt for her because the one on her is a little worn. I will look for one tomorrow probably.

It was 30 years ago today that I married the man of my life!! No one thought we would ever make it this far nor go thru what we have gone thru in the last 4 years and still be together... but here we are - 30 years later!!!
Today, I worked on the strip sound the bottom and the right side of "I am American" quilt. Now I need to determine the border.
Tonight is shrimp with brother-in-law and his wifey and after supper - it will be Rook time!!!!

So another day has come and gone. I did manage to learn how to do FaceTime today and ft to see my Mom and Dad via my brother. That was sooooo cool! I'm starting to really like this iPhone thing!
Tomorrow I plan on working on my "I am American" quilt. Once I get the final strips on it and the boarder, I will need to decide how and what design I want to hand quilt on it.
I will keep y'all posted with ideas I may come up with over the next few days or so.
Maybe some pics to come along as well!

Another wonderful day! Headed off to Church then back hope to play with my iPhone for a while. Then I have a quilt top to finish so I can start on putting it together.
I'm excited with this phone! It seems I can do a little more with it!!
Today, I am purchasing an iPhone...something I said I would never do but as always....sometimes you just need a change!!
Just hanging out with the hubby today. We went to Church this morning, ate lunch with his family and then headed off to BassPro and Joe's Crab Shack for early supper. We also hit B&N as well but no find on what I was looking for so I guess it will be a Nook download!
I will slap up some pics soon I hope of what I've been seeing and such!!

Been a little busy trying to figure out some colors for blocks.
I chose them, then I forget what block it's for. So now I actually label them....Duh....Should have thought of that sooner.
As of midnight, March 31, 2017, I am no longer a paramedic. The brain tumor and surgery took that away from me and no, I'm not happy about it and I have cried a lot. I can't fix it!
I want MY life back!!!
Ok...Off of that subject.....
I will continue to match colors for my blocks and I will post pics when I can.

Man-o-man....It has been a while. I have had some ups and downs over the last few months but I still co time to push forward.
I have completed a couple of quilt tops over the last few months. One that I really like and the other I don't. I need to learn to READ all the instructions before I start another mystery quilt...Arrg!
Anyway, I will try to post some pictures of them soon.
